Easymobile gaat zich alleen nog richten op Engeland en Duitsland. Dus dat wordt vast het einde van Easymobile in Nederland. Misschien ook wel logisch met SimYo en LowCall.nl als concurenten.

The MVNO easyMobile, run by Danish operator TDC, has put expansion plans on hold and will focus on strengthening its operations in the UK and Germany, the company told Telecompaper. TDC has withdrawn from easyMobile in the Netherlands, given the staff there notice and turned the brand name and operations over to easyGroup. No changes to customer service in the Netherlands are expected for the moment. Telecompaper estimates that easyMobile has several thousand subscribers in the Netherlands, out of a total 33,000 reported by the company across the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. EasyMobile launched in the UK in March 2005, the Netherlands in October 2005 and Germany in November 2005, building off the success of the similar low-cost operator Telmore in Denmark. The group announced plans this week to extend UK sales from internet-only to the high-street retail chain The Link. According to TDC, customer intake in the UK and Germany has been "satisfying" and the outlook there remains "promising". Rolling out the no-frills concept in other countries will have to wait for the company to first achieve success in the UK and Germany. TDC however does not rule out withdrawing from the operations if success takes too long or is too expensive. The Danish company secured in 2004 the right to use the easyMobile brand in 12 countries.
